The internet is a fascinating place, but it can also be dangerous. You want to give your children the freedom to explore the world and learn new things—but you also want to make sure they’re doing it safely.
Parents, you’ve probably heard it time and time again: children should not be exposed to adult content. But what if your child has already been exposed to that content? What if they’re watching it right now?
Keep An Eye On Your Kid’s Online Activities
The first step is to find out what exactly your child is watching, and how often they’re watching it. This can be accomplished with a parental control app for Android that allows you to monitor their usage of internet-connected devices.
Set Clear Boundaries For The Types Of Allowed Content
The second step is to set clear boundaries for the types of content that are allowed on the devices in your home, and what types of content are not allowed on those devices.
The third step is to make sure that you have a cell phone plan with an unlimited data plan so that your child doesn’t run up an exorbitant bill just by watching videos online!
Use Google Family Link App
Google Family Link is an Android app that allows parents to monitor their children’s phone usage and limit what they can access.
It’s a free app developed/offered by Google, and it’s available for all parents, who have children aged 13 or younger.
The app can be installed on any Android device running Lollipop or later versions of the operating system with Google Play Services installed.
As well as the users of iOS devices running iOS 9 or later versions of the operating system can use Google Family Link app.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll be able to set up Google Accounts for your child and manage how long they’re allowed to use their phone each day (which you can also set up a timer for).
You can also view reports about what apps they use most frequently and which websites they visit.
